Manage the Secure Remote Services server certificate

Secure Remote Services provides an automated health and system monitoring capability for your storage systems. It sends notifications to Dell Customer Support, sends data to Dell CloudIQ, and enables remote support where necessary. The Secure Remote Services gateway must be registered at Unisphere.

Prerequisites

Unisphere has successfully registered with the Secure Remote Services gateway using a direct connection between Unisphere and the Secure Remote Services gateway.

About this task

In order to provide secure channel for data transfer from Unisphere instance to CloudIQ, Unisphere allows you to upload a Secure Remote Services server certificate. Providing a valid SSL/TLS Certificate ensures that the data is not sent to an incorrect server.

Steps

  1. Select to open the Settings panel.
  2. Select Management > Secure Remote Services .
  3. Click Import Certificate.
    A dialog is displayed.
  4. Click Choose File to select the certificate file to be imported.
  5. Optional: Select CLEAR to clear the selection.
  6. Optional: Select VIEW CERTIFICATE to view the content of the certificate file.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Enable Certificate Validation.
  9. Optional: To disable a previously enabled certification, click Disable Certificate Validation.
  10. Click APPLY.
