Create cloud provider

Unisphere uses PowerMax Cloud Mobility functionality to enable you to move snapshots off the storage system and on to the cloud.

About this task

This procedure explains how to create a cloud provider.

Steps

  1. Select a storage system.
  2. Select System > Cloud.
    The Cloud Mobility Dashboard is displayed.
  3. Click Cloud Providers.
  4. Click Create.
  5. In the Add a Cloud Provider dialog, select a Provider.
    The supported providers are Amazon S3, Azure, and ECS.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • For the Amazon S3 provider, complete the following fields:
      • Name—The display name of the cloud provider
      • Access Key ID—The Amazon S3 ID used to authenticate requests (AWSAccessKeyId)
      • Secret Access Key—The Amazon S3 password used to authenticate requests (AWSSecretAccessKey)
      • Port—The port number (Optional)
      • Bucket—The name of the Amazon S3 bucket (Optional)
      • Storage Class—The Amazon S3 storage class being used (Optional), for example S3 Standard
      • Provider Region—The Amazon regional endpoint (Optional)
    • For the Azure provider, complete the following fields:
      • Name—The display name of the cloud provider
      • Storage Account—Azure storage account
      • Managed Key—Password
      • Port—The port number (Optional)
      • HTTPS—Specifies if HTTPS is used. Valid values are True and False. The default value is True. (Optional)
      • URL—URL of the cloud provider (Optional)
      • Container—The container name (Optional)
    • For the ECS provider, complete the following fields:
      • Name—The display name of the cloud provider
      • Node—IP address of the node
      • Key—The ECS ID key used to authenticate requests.
      • Secret—Password
      • Port—The port number (Optional)

        Default value is 9000.

      • HTTPS—Specifies if HTTPS is used. Valid values are True and False. The default value is True. (Optional)
      • Bucket—The name of the ECS bucket (Optional)
      • Request Style—Specifies the request style used. Valid values are Auto, Virtual, and Path. The default value is Auto. (Optional)
  7. Do one of the following:

    • Click Run Now to perform the operation now.

    • Expand Run Now and click Add to Job List to add this task to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see Schedule jobs and Preview jobs.
